IES Holdings Completes Acquisition of Technibus, Inc.
HOUSTON, June 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IES Holdings, Inc. (or "IES") (NASDAQ:IESC) today announced that a wholly-owned subsidiary of IES has completed its acquisition of Technibus, Inc. ("Technibus"), a Canton, Ohio-based manufacturer of custom-engineered, metal enclosed bus duct solutions, in an all cash transaction valued at approximately $45 million. FP&L Venetian Substation
Technibus, working closely with ABB, Inc. has secured the FP&L order to the existing Venetian Substation equipment in downtown Miami. This substation serves approximately a 20 block radius, which includes multiple high-rise condominiums. Technibus co-ordinate the connections of the new switchgear units and the existing current limiting reactors.
Los Angeles Metro Blue Line Replacement
Technibus has been selected by Siemens Industry - Mobility Division to provide the bus duct for the Los Angeles Metro Blue Line Replacement Project. Scope of supply is the 6-Pole AC bus duct connection between the transformers and the rectifiers on 20 different Traction Power Substations. Technibus staged this project over a 3 year period. First shipment march 2010 last shipment May 2013.
Miami/Dade Metro Earlington Line Expansion
Technibus has been selected by Siemens Industry - Mobility Division to provide the bus duct for the Miami/Dade Metro Earlington Line Expansion. Scope of supply is the 6-Pole AC Bus Duct connection between the transformers and the rectifiers, and the 1-Pole DC bus duct between the rectifiers and the DC switchgear.
Porto Refinery Conversion Project
Technibus has been selected by Fluor Limited - Camberley, UK to provide the bus duct for the Porto Refinery Conversion Project located in Porto, Portugal. Scope of supply is the AC bus duct connection between the transformers, the neutral resistor cabinet, and the switchgear line up for this substation.
Basin Electric Power Cooperative, Deer Creek Station
Technibus has been selected as the equipment supplier by Basin Electric, Deer Creek Station, to supply the non-segregated phase bus duct. This project is a 300MW natural gas combined-cycle generation facility located near White, South Dakota, in Brookings County with construction to begin mid-summer 2010. Technibus will co-ordinate the connections of the new transformers to the new switchgear and motor control centers for 600V and 5kV systems.
Indiana Power & Light
Technibus, working closely with Eaton Electrical, Inc. has secured the IP&L order to the existing West Substation which was taken out of operation after a transformer failure. Technibus will supply a 15kV, 3000A bus way for connection between existing switchgear and the spare replacement transformer. Technibus must deliver equipment to site within two weeks to bring equipment back on-line.
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory - T200
Technibus was selected to replace existing run of faulted outdoor bus duct consisting of non-segregated 15kV 5000A 3-phase, 3-wire ground and 316 stainless steel enclosures. The bus duct was designed, fabricated and assembled within three weeks as requested by our customer to bring the equipment back into service.
